Sundance Winner “STEP” at ISU Sunday

Sundance Film Festival winner, “STEP” will be shown this Sunday, Nov. 5, at 4:30 and 7:00 p.m. in the Bengal Theater. “STEP” documents the senior year of a girls high-school dance team against the background of inner-city Baltimore. As each one tries to become the first in their families to attend college, the girls strive to make their dancing a success amidst the social unrest in the troubled city. “Inspiring and funny and lovely,” writes the Seattle Times, while the Los Angeles Times calls it “A certified crowd pleaser, heartening and emotional.” (Rated PG) Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU staff or free for ISU students with Bengal ID.
