“Queen of Katwe” at ISU Sunday

“Queen of Katwe” will be shown on Sunday, February 19, at 2:30, 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. in the Bengal Theater. This Toronto Film Festival winner finds a young woman inspired by the game of chess who rises out of her difficult circumstances and finds international recognition for her skill. The New York Times writes, “It deals in a world of pawns rather than punches but Queen of Katwe is just as uplifting and feel-good a sports drama as any Rocky movie.” Admission is $2 for the public, or free for ISU Students with Bengal ID.
